    Sabres Win Championship

    This past weekend on March 2 my daughters junior high basketball team went into a four-team playoff for the season championship after having won their quarter-final earlier in the week. They were nervous and scared going into it and very worried about how they would play. Then, as I knew they would, once the game started they settled down and began to play some basketball. They talked. They helped each other. They actually worked together as a team and it showed. In the end we defeated the team that had gone undefeated throughout the season and had beaten us by 30+ points during the regular season to win the championship.…

    I was reffing with an excellent referee named Cam Scott the other day and I was trying to find a way to internalize the lesson he was giving me and this is what I came up with.     Canada’s Wonderland- Part 5

    My daughter even went on this roller coaster that scared me just looking at it. It’s been reported that on the way up she could be heard saying “I’m scared, I’m scared, I’m scared…” but once she reached the top she stopped and said “I can see my house!” Which is odd as we live in a different province. Maybe the ride is higher than I thought
