2019 3×3 Tournament – Part 2
This year we ran four divisions and everyone seemed to enjoy it. We also partnered up with Wheelchair Sport Manitoba for a wheelchair demo which was a big hit. And of course whenever we see a photo op with the queen contestants we take advantage of that. The pageant contestants even gave wheelchair basketball a try and they really seemed to enjoy it.

2019 3×3 Tournament – Part 1
As part of the Altona Basketball Associate the 3×3 tournament we run is something we love doing. We get teams from all over the area and sometimes we get teams from Winnipeg as well as occasionally from the U.S. There is a lot of prep work before the tournament can begin such as gathering sponsors, gathering prizes, moving hoops in, chalking the court markings, etc… before the actual fun can begin.

Canada Day 2019
This year we took in the Canada Day festivities in Altona. The kids went swimming and spent time with friends. In the evening we spent time in the park listening to the bands playing, which was quite good and then we took in the fireworks. As a family we really enjoy the fireworks and this year I was able to take some decent pictures. The town really puts on a good show.

Twenty One Pilots Concert
May 17 I got to spend a daddy/daugher evening with Alicia and we went to the Twenty One Pilots concert in Winnipeg. It was even louder than I was expecting and to be honest I had a really good time.

Sabres Windup
April 29, 2019 we held the windup party for the Parkside Sabres basketball team. The girls put in the work and were rewarded with a banner this year. To celebrate as part of the windup I organized a trivia contest and the winner got to put a pie in my face. https://basketballdad.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_3023.mp4
